- Send Push Notification
This manual contains an introduction to sending push notifications to your Vuframe app. If there are any questions or technical difficulties, please contact Vuframe directly for further help.
To start using pushwoosh for sending push notifications, you will first have to login using your companies pushwoosh account information.
Visit https://www.pushwoosh.com/ and click at the login button on the frontage.
Enter your login details and click login.
2.2 App Selection
After login you will be presented with an overview screen of your available apps. Usually this screen should look like the following if all release types of your Vuframe app are setup correctly.
Each entry is associated to one release type of your app. This way you can easily send push notifications to different release types of your app. For example you could send a test notification to all beta testers of your app without affecting end users that downloaded your app from the app store.
The usual release types for your Vuframe app are:
- App Store
- This app version is live in the app store (Google Playstore or Apple App Store). Use it to send out notifications to users who installed the app from one of these stores.
- This app version is live on the internal Vuframe download page. Use it to send out notifications to all users that downloaded the live version of the app from the Vuframe app download page.
- This app version is the draft that you can use to test your Vuframe app before releasing it to the public. Draft versions include all app versions that you receive from Vuframe to test out new features. Use it to preview push notifications for your internal group of app testers.
- This app version is used by engineers and quality assurance at Vuframe to make sure push notifications work as expected.
To perform an action in one of the apps simply select the desired app in the list and proceed with the next steps.
2.2 Send Push Notification
After selecting the app you want to send a notification to, you will be presented with the following screen.
Here you can simply enter your desired push message. There are further customisation options that you can use if you want to, but for a simple notification in all apps the message itself is enough.
One setting to keep an eye on is the android color setting. On modern android phones your company logos outline will be displayed in white color on a circle filled with the color you select for the notification.
It is recommended to choose your brands main color that goes along well with white outlines of your company logo here.
You can test the feature for your draft app as often as you want to make sure you always send the best possible push notifications to your app users.
Be cautious when sending push notifications to your live apps (App Store and Live release type) as they will reach all current users of your app.
